One of the three women qualified in the 92nd Inidianapolis 500 is Milka Duno together with Danica Patrick and Sarah Fisher. Admittedly, racers are unnoticed once they are on track but last year’s Indianapolis 500, Milka Duno had the chance to get attention from people for being herself as Mila Duno. She said that she never expect to have so many fans since she was only new in the Indy 500 but it was a great surprise for her.
With the fans following Milka everywhere, she truly fascinates everyone. Some hung around the fence by her pit just to draw Milka’s attention and some keep on waiting outside her garage to see her Venezuelan beauty.
Milka has gained more and more respect in the industry. She wasn’t just a beauty trying to take some laps in the world’s most famous race. She wanted however to return to open wheel racing, where she had been competing in Europe.
Milka is presently with Dreyer and Reinbold Racing. She has an 11-race schedule. Buddy Rice, a former Indy500 champion is her teammate. Milka said that she have an advantage now because her team has wide information about the cars. Likewise the racing experience of her team co-owner Robbie Buhl, who is her driver coach, is another great advantage for her and her team. Since the start of their team up, they have a good communication, which is truly important in any partnership. Milka had pointed out that not everybody knows how to transmit information effectively but Buhl definitely knows how and that’s what Milka needs, she admitted.
Milka, like all the qualified racers for this season, greatly hopes to win. She wants to join Danica in the Victory lane. It would be interesting for Danica to win but if she wins, it would be more interesting for her.
